The 2017 U.S. Open is all set for its third round at Erin Hills. The final few pairings for Round 3 of the U.S. Open golf tournament look a lot different than a lot of people might have expected. The world’s top three players (Dustin Johnson, Rory McIlroy and Jason Day) all missed the cut, as did notables Bubba Watson, Adam Scott, Justin Rose and Jimmy Walker.

The leaderboard looks very different includes a number of unexpected players who are unfamiliar to casual fans (Brian Harman, Tommy Fleetwood, Jamie Lovemark and Si Woo Kim).

There still are some big names playing this weekend at ErinHills golf course. This includes Jordan Spieth, Martin Kaymer and Sergio Garcia. The 3rd round coverage will start from 10:30 pm IST on DSPORT.

With 36 holes finished at Erin Hills, the U.S. Open has reached its halfway point, and is more fascinating than ever. Thirty-two players are within five shots of the lead.

With low scores in mind, can anyone shoot 65 on the weekend? For that we need to wait for the 3rd round. We’ve already seen Rickie Fowler’s 7-under 65 on Thursday. Then Hideki Matsuyama ran out in 30 on the front nine Friday, and added a birdie on the back for a 65 of his own. The USGA is well-known for making life difficult for the field on the weekend, so the best score might be a lot closer to 68 or 69.

Considering the weather conditions the field overall scored well playing in excellent conditions on Friday, but golfers could be in for a challenge Saturday as rain is in the forecast.
