FC Dallas midfielder Roland Lamah has been voted Alcatel MLS Player of the Week by the North American Soccer Reporters (NASR) for the 14th week of the 2017 MLS season.
Lamah scored a hat-trick and led FC Dallas to a 6-2 victory over Real Salt Lake on Saturday at Toyota Stadium. It was Lamah’s first professional hat trick.
The Ivorian-born Belgium international, Lamah put Dallas ahead, 1-0, in the eighth minute with an easy left-footed tap-in from right in front of the goal off a perfectly placed Michael Barrios pass. Lamah added his second goal of the match in the 22nd minute and scored his hat-trick in the 31st minute giving Dallas a 3-0 advantage over Real Salt Lake.
With his first multi-goal in MLS, Lamah now has four goals and one assist this season. Dallas now sits at the third spot in the Western Conference standings with 23 points (6-2-5 overall record).
Lamah joined FCD on a free transfer from Hungarian side Ferencvaros; after going goalless in his first 10 MLS games.
