News: Corinthians moved at the top of the Brazilian Serie A standings on Thursday after registering an impressive 5-2 victory over Vasco da Gama. The match was live televised on DSport.

Marquinhos Gabriel and Jo gave Corinthians an early 2-0 lead at Vasco’s Sao Januario stadium.  In 21 matches, 13 goals against Corinthians, Luis Fabiano with his 2 in goals in today’s match restored the hope of his club.

But in the 2nd half, the game was only about Corinthians. They were on fire. Maycon from the left side of the box scored the 3rd goal and once again took a sharp lead in the game. Taking the lead forward Clayton hit two brilliant goals for Corinthians in last few minutes.

The result left Corinthians with 13 points from five matches, a point ahead of Coritiba, who defeated Palmeiras by 1-0 on Wednesday.
