One of the richest golf tournaments on the European Tour, the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship staged on three different links courses, centered on the “home of golf”, St Andrews in Fife, Scotland. The 2019 Alfred Dunhill Links Championship field will witness some of the big names from the golf world.
The mavens of golf like the Open champion Shane Lowry, World No 6 Jon Rahm, US Ryder Cup star Tony Finau, former Masters Champion Danny Willett and two-time Major Champion Martin Kaymer are amidst the star players for this year’s Alfred Dunhill Links Championship. They will join the wold class line-up which includes World No 2 Rory McIlroy, World No 4 Justin Rose and Major Champions Padraig Harrington, the current European Ryder Cup captain, Ernie Els, Graeme McDowell, Trevor Immelman and Michael Campbell.
Apart from the star-studded line-up, the other attraction point will be the Fathers-Sons’ pairings. To create a unique family moment, McIlroys, Rahms and Kaymers will tee up at St Andrews, three fathers and sons will tee off on the first day of the championship. Rory & Gerry McIlroy, Jon & Edorta Rahm and Martin & Horst Kaymer will be chasing their first win in the prestigious Alfred Dunhill Links Team Championship. The McIlroys and Kaymers have played together in the event before, but this is World No 6 Rahm’s first appearance.
Another spectacular pairings will be Hollywood superstar Justin Timberlake & Justin Rose, singer-songwriter Ronan Keating & Lee Westwood, film legend Bill Murray & D.A.Points and The Vamps star Brad Simpson & Tom Sloman, who has just turned pro after playing in the Walker Cup.
